West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently held a meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to unite the anti-BJP parties before the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting took place at the state secretariat Nabanna, where the three leaders discussed the importance of working together in the interest of the country.
During the meeting, Nitish Kumar expressed his opinion that the current ruling party is only doing propaganda and not working for the country. He emphasized the need for all parties to talk unitedly and praised the positive conversation that had taken place during the meeting. Mamata Banerjee also echoed the sentiment of unity and proposed holding a meeting in Bihar to showcase the united front against the BJP.
Mamata Banerjee said, “We are happy that we have come to Bengal. Jai Prakash's movement started from Bihar. Have a party meeting in Bihar. Let it start from there. We the people are together. We don't have any objection. I want BJP to become zero. We want to work together jointly. The people of the country will fight with the BJP and all the parties are together."
Upon their arrival in Kolkata from Patna, Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav were received by state ministers Firhad Hakim and Sujit Bose at Dum Dum Airport. The meeting between the three leaders is seen as a significant step towards building a united front against the ruling BJP party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
